The experience of feeling different is especially intense in our teenage years, when we begin to form the beliefs and values that later shape our identities. Creative people often benefit from this separation from the norm, as it fuels their work. Their thinking doesn’t fit into conventional molds — and that’s precisely what gives them their creative power.
In my work as a conceptionist and copywriter, I draw on the energy in the demarcation of the teenage years. As the “world's smallest teenagency”, I find solutions for my clients that keep the rules of the trade in mind, but claim the freedom to solve a brief or problem in an unconventional way - always with the aim of perfectly staging the best and extraordinary aspects of a brand.
I have been working as a copywriter in renowned advertising agencies for almost 10 years and have been in the industry for over 15 years. So far I have worked in the Tourism, FMCG, Finance, Automotive, Public Transports and Politics sectors. What do I think about good copy? I am interested in the conceptual approach behind a copy and see myself as an idea generator and problem solver.
